It’s a nice crown on his season. Though I must say the final part of the race was really unexpected, it looks like those Sky guys really have some tire problem.
It sucked Mollema couldn’t catch up with the head of the race, though. I hope the first Dutch (cycling) medal will come tomorrow at the ladies road race, or wednesday at the time trail.

It’s finally coming together for Van Avermaet after years of bad luck and second places, so it was great to see him get the gold. Those crashes were strange indeed.
The men’s time trial will be exciting and close, but the women’s title should end up in the Netherlands I guess, seeing the amount of talent in your team.

Well deserved, one of the most exciting road races I’ve seen in a while. I thought Nabali had it wrapped up then he just crashed like all the other favorites. Sagan should have done the RR too, too bad he decided to do the MTB.

I hope Tom Dumoulin is able to perform in the time trial, it’s such a pity he broke his wrist in the Tour de France.
Yes, our women’s team is great, and we’ve got the olympic title defender Marianne Vos, who can win and has won in almost any sport involving a bicycle.
